The “Wedding Art’nt You Grateful You Invited Me?" Gift:

• Unique, thoughtful, personalized

• Safe bet that this gift will be enjoyed

• This gift gets better with age (nostalgia is powerful)

• Paintings of bouquets are much safer than human portraits

Wedding art objects other than the bouquet:

• Dance floor

• Wedding venue (painting, drawing)

• Wedding portrait (although this is risky…see above)

BGC Wedding Art Gift Playbook:

1. Take your own photo of an aspect of the wedding that you’d like to turn into art (or wait until the newlyweds share professional photos)

2. Hire an artist or create the artwork yourself (see below for helpful ideas/links)

3. What! Only 2 steps!?….Yup.

Ways to get the painting created:

• Find a local artist

• Hire an artist via Etsy

• Mobile apps (e.g. free OilPaintMyPhoto app) can turn your photos into watercolor paintings

• Paint it yourself…with some help – there are online services that convert your photos into a paint-by-number kit (if anyone follows through on this gift, I must know…this would be so cool)

Other post-wedding flower gifts ideas (can use the bouquet or table centerpiece):

• Dried flower art 

• Other ways to preserve flowers

🚨Warning! When gifting artwork or home decor, you may want first to get the approval of the recipient to ensure they want the item and have the room to accommodate it. At the very least, stick to items that don’t take up much space.
