Gift idea time! Here’s a story of a
great gift to spark your creativity

The “restaurant keepsake" Gift

Our conversation was effortless, the oysters were ocean-fresh, the lobster rolls met the Goldilocks ratio of hot/cold/buttery, and the beer I’d never tried before became an instant favorite. My wife and I both agreed that this was one of the more memorable restaurant experiences we had ever shared. I low-key put an oyster shell in my pocket. As an anniversary gift, I made a refrigerator magnet out of the shell as a keepsake from such a great time together.

This is one of my own stories

Why this gift is great

Brainstorming your version of this gift

In general:

  • Find keepsakes from dining experiences that can become future gifts for those who shared in that experience (doesn’t have to be a S.O.)

  • Inscribe the date, location, etc. on the gift

Restaurant keepsake ideas:

(for the Star Wars fans)

Recreating the meal:

  • Similar to this past BGC gift idea, recreate recipes (food, cocktails, etc.)

  • Note the names of pre-prepared items (cheeses, wines, etc.) and buy them for home

Photo keepsake ideas:

  • Frame photos of the restaurant exterior, the food, your party, etc.

  • Mobile apps (e.g. free OilPaintMyPhoto app) can turn your phone’s photos into watercolor paintings to frame

Making this gift happen

  • If an upcoming dining experience might be noteworthy, how can you remind yourself to find a keepsake? ____

A SUBSCRIBER'S REVIEW (yes, I read them)

“I own a productivity training and coaching company and don't let many newsletters into my professional or personal inboxes. Yours is one of the few!”

Now that’s some prime real estate! Even in this market, I intend for that Zestimate to appreciate BIG TIME!
